When it comes to Nanjicun, what we all know are the Dengloujiao Waterline🌊, the southernmost point of mainland China📍, and various popular wall murals... But I think the Windmill Corridor and that secret little seaside wooden cabin🛖 are the most atmospheric‼️
Here’s the exact location📍: Duhai Battle Memorial🪦
Make sure to go when the tide is low, so you can get down to the beach🏝️ and get really close to the giant windmills! It’s the best time for photos📸
Another hidden photo spot📸 is about 300 meters from the Windmill Corridor, by the beach there’s a rundown little wooden cabin🛖 that gives off a Robinson Crusoe vibe, haha🤣
Location📍: Xuwen Baoluo Bay Station (You can’t see the cabin right at the location; you need to walk about 100 meters further along the road to the left to find it‼️

After posting the last Nanjicun guide🈯️, many friends asked about accommodation choices: where to stay, what’s suitable, any recommendations?
First, my principle is: choose the best within your means! Then pick what suits your needs~
For example, families with kids should focus on details for children; couples should prioritize privacy, etc...
This is also why I chose not to stay in Fangpo Village (although it’s convenient for meals, most guesthouses are self-built with narrow spacing between buildings, so privacy is limited)
For me, as a family with kids👦🏻, I need a place where kids can run freely, have things to play with, and a place where they can be busy or left alone if they want!
We stayed at Nanjicun Yanyu🏡, right outside the door is a vast expanse of salt fields, with ponds and grass, a private rooftop and yard, and the lobby even has a play kitchen toy set for kids🧸. Families with children can choose family rooms, and the small tents are also a favorite of the kids😍
The guesthouse also provides breakfast🍳. Although it’s simple farmhouse dishes, in Nanjicun where dining options are limited, having breakfast included is really thoughtful service❤️

Forgot to mention, when you come to Nanjicun, be sure to try the cat’s eye sea snail. I haven’t had it anywhere else; it’s probably a local specialty. It’s crispy and super delicious😋
Almost every stir-fry food stall has it!
