Kyushu, Japan | Kyushu Venice Don't miss it! Yanagawa River Cruise, Explore Fukuoka's Hidden Beautiful Waterways

Yanagawa, one of the must-see spots when visiting Fukuoka

The most representative experience is to take a boat tour and slowly tour along the historic moat. The boatman steered the boat and led us through the narrow waterway. The ancient buildings on both sides, traditional Japanese houses, and the lush green trees around formed a beautiful picture.

While rowing, the boatman shared the historical stories and local culture of Yanagawa, allowing people to not only appreciate the scenery but also understand the unique charm of this water town. The cruise is full of tranquility and harmony, as if time has slowed down here. Both the scenery and the atmosphere are intoxicating. It is a refreshing travel experience.

Transportation:

From Fukuoka City, take the JR Kagoshima Main Line to Yanagawa Station, which takes about 40 minutes. Upon arrival, you can walk to the cruise starting point.
