💗Other tips:
A conscientious museum, open until late, located by the lake, I thought it was a scenic area. Staying at the Marriott, it's a 10-minute walk, and you can see the museum from the room. The bus is also very convenient, and if you drive yourself, there is a fairly large parking lot, which is free.
Visiting a museum is a must when you go to a city, to understand the city. The museum's exhibitions, timed according to the season, provide a detailed introduction to the history of Yancheng, with many local archaeological finds. It turns out that Yancheng is such a city with a long history, where human activities have been present since the Neolithic Age, which is really enlightening. The biology exhibition includes specimens of red-crowned cranes and elks, perfect for warming up for later sightseeing. There is also a modern construction exhibition, which introduces the development of Yancheng. The folk customs exhibition is somewhat similar to the Bamboo Forest Hotel, featuring some old objects.
There was also a special exhibition on Lu Xun's culture, displaying woodblock prints collected by Mr. Lu Xun.
It takes about an hour to visit the museum, which has long opening hours, from nine in the morning to nine at night, so you can always find time to visit. In summer, it is recommended to come in the evening when the lighting is also quite beautiful.
