Yancheng Water Street is a popular destination for many visitors to Yancheng. There are two main reasons why people like to visit here: the scenery and the food.

After experiencing it myself, I found that the essence of Yancheng Water Street is at night (but not too late). Let's break it down:
✅ Water Street is a typical ancient-style street that looks better at night. The lighting and artistic lamps make for better photos.
✅ When there are no events, there are fewer visitors at night, and you can climb the ancient city tower for a view.
✅ The painted boats at the entrance are also decorated with lights at night, which look even better and make for great photos when combined with the lights on the river.
✅ I recommend walking on the bridges and climbing the ancient city tower for a panoramic view. If there is a performance that night, sit down and enjoy it before leaving.
