Shwedagon Pagoda

Shwedagon Pagoda is a sacred place and an important symbol of Myanmar. Located on Singuttara Hill in the heart of Yangon, it is highly revered in Theravada Buddhism and is believed to enshrine the relics of four Buddhas, as well as eight strands of the hair of the current Buddha (Gotama Buddha).

Thai tourists can travel to Myanmar without a visa for a short stay of up to 14 days. They must enter the country through one of the main airports, namely Yangon, Naypyidaw or Mandalay.
