Taking the kids to Mao'er Mountain during summer vacation? This guide is your homework shortcut!

The main peak of Mao'er Mountain is quite high, over 2,000 meters. If you want to take the kids close to nature, go for a walk, and take some photos, this place is definitely a great choice.
Don’t want to tire the kids out? Just take the sightseeing bus from the visitor center up the mountain—no need to hike yourself, which saves a lot of effort.
Along the way, you’ll pass the bamboo sea terraces, see the old mountain boundary that the Red Army once crossed (perfect for check-in photos with the Old Mountain Boundary Monument), and trek through dense primeval forest to explore the source of the Lijiang River—the Sanjiangyuan. There are little discoveries everywhere.
The air at the top is truly fresh; take a deep breath and it feels like all your worries disappear~
After coming down, you must play in the water!
At the water sports center, stand-up paddleboarding is super fun. In the cool water during summer, it’s so comfortable you won’t want to move;
Tried the “Lazy Drift” for the first time—it’s a blessing for lazy people! Wear safety gear, drift however you want, so relaxing and stress-relieving~
Stay at the Lijiangyuan Resort Hotel at the foot of the mountain; it’s close and very convenient. Outside, there are go-karts and tennis courts. Kids have a great time, adults can rest a bit, and the whole family will have a blast here—definitely the right choice for a family trip~
