| 2 Days and 1 Night of Slow Life in Yangzhou with Kids. Although Yangzhou is a bit cold in winter, it is also the off-season for tourism, making it a great time to travel with kids, avoid the crowds, and experience the slow life of Yangzhou!
Every time I come to Yangzhou, I like to stroll along Pishi Street. Compared to the bustling Dongguan Street, this street is more artistic and elegant, but parking is a big problem. So this time, I specifically found a homestay just one street away, which is super convenient for traveling with kids!
🏮Accommodation
Yangzhou Reconstruction · Bingou Pavilion is said to have been renovated from an old house from the Qing Dynasty, with every brick and tile exuding historical charm. In the bustling area of Yangzhou, it is a rare example of Huizhou-style architecture, with a scenic view at every step, making it a great place for taking photos. At this time of year, the garden is already full of the atmosphere of the New Year, and many people come here just for the morning tea!
🏮Activities
D1. Yangzhou Grand Canal Museum🔮
The museum is easy to book during the off-season, and there aren't too many people. The various exhibition halls are quite impressive, and my son Yizui's favorite is the time travel experience in Hall 1, where you can experience the past and present of the Grand Canal in 5D! I recommend standing in the first row. My son kept saying "wow", and the experience was amazing!

Tips🌟
🅿️ Only the underground parking lot is 🆓, while the above-ground parking lot charges a fee.
In addition, the escape room and study space inside also require separate reservations, otherwise, you won't be able to visit or play!
D2. Dongguan Street—Pishi Street🔮
After having morning tea at the homestay, we first went to the Dongguan Street Fair. It's a small market, but full of the hustle and bustle of life, and the scenes created make you feel like you're in Guangling City, with a unique flavor.
Crossing a street, you can reach Pishi Street, a short old street of a few hundred meters that combines history and modernity well. If you have enough time, you can take a leisurely stroll here, explore many hidden gem shops, and enjoy interesting little things to truly experience the slow life of Yangzhou.
🏮Food
Bingou Pavilion · Xiyan is located inside the homestay, which is very convenient. Breakfast is the traditional morning tea of Yangzhou, and I saw many people coming here just for it!
Yangzhou is truly a city for slow travel, no matter the season, you can always enjoy it🎐
