I wasn’t expecting much when I revisited Yantai this October, but wow—this city completely stole my heart! 💙 The sky was unbelievably blue, the sea crystal clear, and the fresh ocean breeze made every moment feel like a dream. Unlike other touristy beach cities, Yantai felt calm, spacious, and effortlessly beautiful.
🏝️ My 2-Day Itinerary
✨ Day 1 – History & Sunset Strolls
I started at Zhifu Bay Square, then climbed Yantai Hill for a taste of history. Walking along the coast, I passed Dongshan Pier, Moon Bay, and East Fort, each offering stunning sea views. The highlight? Watching the sunset at Fisherman’s Wharf—golden skies melting into the ocean, pure magic! 🌅
✨ Day 2 – Hidden Gems & Beach Walks
I kicked off the morning at Tianma Pier & Lonely Whale, two dreamy seaside spots. Then, I headed to Yantai University and strolled along Binhai Middle Road, where the soft sandy beach was perfect for relaxing. Bonus: If you go during low tide, you can even dig for fresh clams! 🏖️
💡 Final Thoughts
Yantai is underrated yet absolutely worth visiting. No crazy crowds, super walkable, and cheaper than Qingdao or Weihai. Plus, public transport & shared bikes make getting around a breeze. Oh, and you must try sea worm rice—weirdly delicious! 🤤
