1-day trip to Yeosu, South Jeolla Province, South Korea, a leisurely tour of slow life

In the past two years, the country I have visited the most is South Korea. On average, I go to Korea 2-3 times a year🇰🇷.

What else is there to do in Korea besides Seoul and Jeju Island? Then I recommend a one-day trip to Yeosu City, South Jeolla Province.

South Jeolla Province (전라남도) is a province in South Korea. It is the southwesternmost province of South Korea. It faces Jeju Island to the south across the Jeju Strait and is adjacent to the Yellow Sea to the west. It is a province with relatively few foreign tourists.

Morning: Wutong Island - Sea Cable Car

Wutong Island: About 10 minutes’ drive from the city. It is named Wutong Island because there are many Wutong trees on the island. The scenery is beautiful, the air is fresh, and there are lush sycamore trees, camellias, and sea trees. Every spring, more than 3,000 camellias on the island are in full bloom. Walking on the island, you feel like you are traveling in a painting.

You need to take a small train to get to the island, which takes about 5 minutes. It is a very short distance. If you don't take it, you will regret it for the rest of your life. The island is quite large, so it is recommended to spend half a day or a day to visit it!

Sea Cable Car: A cable car that overlooks the entire Lishui. It is a means of transportation that connects Odongdo Island and Dolsando Island. Not only can you enjoy the beauty of the two islands, but you can also enjoy the city view of Yeosu. It is the first cable car in South Korea connecting an island and the mainland and has been in operation since 2014. It takes about 1 hour from the time you sit down to the end.

Afternoon: Yi Sun-sin Square follows the clouds in the sky

Yi Sun-sin Square📷: Yi Sun-sin Square is located on the beach of Yeosu. Buy a cup of coffee, stroll along the beach with a few friends, sit or chat, and fully experience the slow life in Korea.

This is why I like Lishui very much. There are few people here. I can stroll leisurely in the square and watch people coming and going. It is very suitable for someone like me.
