A Small Island on the Sea, Odongdo

Odongdo is one of the must-visit attractions when you come to Yeosu. Although it's a small island situated on the sea, the enchanting scenery that unfolds as you walk towards it fills your journey with excitement and emotion.

The path to the island is connected by a breakwater promenade, giving you the unique feeling of walking on water. Once you enter the island, you'll find a lush forest trail where paulownia and camellia trees blend harmoniously. There are also observation decks and photo spots scattered throughout, making it a perfect place for a leisurely stroll. 🌳

Odongdo is especially famous for its camellia flowers. If you visit during the right season, you'll be treated to a breathtaking view of vibrant red camellias harmonizing with the sea. Although I visited during a season when the flowers were not in bloom, the refreshing green forest trails alone were enough to provide a healing experience.

As you slowly walk along the island's perimeter trail, you'll be greeted by a wide-open view of the sea. The sound of the wind and waves brings a sense of peace to your mind. There are also plenty of benches where you can sit and relax, making it an ideal spot to spend some tranquil time.
