Xidi Town is an ancient village formed by dozens of generations of descendants of the Hu family. It was founded during the Huangyou period of the Northern Song Dynasty, developed in the middle of the Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty, and reached its peak in the early Qing Dynasty. It is more than 950 years old. In Xidi, there is no need to rush. You can walk slowly, look around, look at the buildings, look at the couplets, learn about their past and the owner's style of doing things and attitude towards life. The couplet that impressed me the most in Xidi is: "For hundreds of years, people have been doing nothing but accumulating good deeds; the best thing to do is to study."
