Yichang Three Gorges, a romantic journey written into poetry

The Three Gorges is definitely one of the travel destinations that should be included in your life list! When I was a child, I read Li Bai's "The monkeys on both sides of the river are crying incessantly, and the light boat has passed through ten thousand mountains." The picture instantly pulled me into the fantasy world in the poem. When I grew up, I finally saw the Three Gorges with my own eyes. The picturesque scenery made me fall completely in love with it❤️. Today, let me take you to the Three Gorges and start an unforgettable journey!


2 days and 1 night itinerary


Day 1
Before 9:00 in the morning, you must rush to the Huangbai River Wharf and take a cruise to Sanxia People's Home. The feeling of slowly moving forward on the river is so pleasant🚢. Of course, driving to Wangjiaping Visitor Center is also a good choice. As soon as you arrive at Wangjiaping, the emerald green Longjin Creek comes into view. The folk performances by the creek are so lively that it feels like you have traveled back to the ancient Three Gorges. Then we continued along Longjin Creek and went to Monkey Mountain to see the lively monkeys🐒, and finally took the boat back. The day's itinerary was full but also relaxing.


Day 2
The next day, we arrived at the Three Gorges Visitor Center early and boarded the cruise ship that was full of expectations. The cruise ship slowly sailed into Xiling Gorge. I was particularly lucky because it was after the rain that day, and the foggy mountains and waters looked like a natural ink painting🌅. Sitting on the boat, you can truly feel that "rising water lifts all boats". It's a wonderful feeling that you can only understand by experiencing it yourself. In the afternoon, we drove along G348 and checked in at the Gangouzi Bridge, Liantuopan Bridge, and Xintan Ferry. The scenery along the way was like a visual feast. There are parking lots, toilets, and even special check-in spots along the way, so you don’t have to worry about missing any beautiful scenery📸.


Food Guide
It would be a pity if you come to Yichang and don’t try the local food! The radish dumplings, with their fresh and tender radish filling, leave a lingering fragrance in your mouth after a bite🥟; the red oil noodles, with just the right amount of spiciness, leave you with an endless aftertaste🍜; and the red oil buns, with their soft and glutinous skin and delicious filling, are the perfect choice for breakfast🥢. In the morning, you must go to "Yichang Breakfast Street", where there are rich varieties of breakfast and the steaming scene will make you feel the fireworks of Yichang instantly. At night, the CBD Night Market and Jiefang Road Night Market are even more lively. Various snacks, barbecues, and various special snacks will completely captivate your taste buds.
