A dope English styled cafe in Surabaya

When I visited Tunjungan Plaza, it originally was for Toby’s Estate, but a new cafe right opposite to it drew me in with a great selection of appealing cakes.

One of them was Ube Velvet Cake, which obviously was a creative improvisation from the classic Red Velvet cake but uses purple sweet potato as the main character. The textures turned out to be very varied with the crumbs, sponge, and different layers of cream, and the ube flavor also carried through.

The interior design of the place was like what’s featured in Kingsman, pretty “English” and elegant. But the lighting was a tad too dim to me, but I could imagine how much prettier it could be during the day.
