Cuifeng Lake is located at the innermost part of Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area. It is also the largest alpine lake in Taiwan. It is 1,840 meters above sea level and is a mountain control area and ecological conservation area. During the rainy season, the surface area of ​​Cuifeng Lake reaches about 25 hectares. There is a lakeside trail around the lake, which is 3.95 kilometers long. The distance is not long, but it has slight ups and downs and is not difficult. It takes about an hour and a half to walk around the lake slowly while enjoying the scenery. There are two entrances to the lakeside trail. There are more parking spaces at the east lakeside entrance and tourists prefer to park there. There are only a few parking spaces at the west lakeside entrance and it is often full of vehicles. This can be used as a reference for tourists who drive here and want to hike around the lake.
