With the sun high in the sky and the sky clear, I stepped into the National Center for Traditional Arts, transported in a split second to a time-traveled space where modernity and tradition intertwine.
🌿 The first thing I saw was the green wall.
From afar, a red brick tower leaned against a concrete wall covered in vines. The words "Traditional Arts Center" loomed on the wall, reminding visitors of the stories, history, and creative spirit brewing here.
🏠 Entering a space where architecture and nature intertwine.
The park's blend of modern and Southern Fujian-style architecture is eye-catching. Glass houses, red bricks, ponds, and greenery coexist, creating a tranquil and vibrant artistic beauty. Every corner feels like a carefully arranged photoshoot by an architect.
🎭 Passion and Heritage on a Small Stage
In front of a wooden stage, I encountered a performance in progress. Girls danced with hula hoops, while boys displayed strength and beauty like kung fu actors. Laughter echoed from both the stage and the audience, and adults and children alike watched intently.
🎐 Red lanterns and cheongsam floral fabrics—the streetscape is so photogenic!
Walking into the reminiscent streets, the row of vintage red brick streets immediately reminded me of a movie set. Looking up, I saw lanterns swaying in the wind and giant dragon decorations. Around the corner, there was even a public art installation combining bamboo weaving and bright red floral fabrics—a traditional yet trendy experience!
👘 Romantic shops showcasing dyed fabrics, crafts, and handmade crafts
Training crafts isn't just about display; it's about experiencing them firsthand. In the "Little Artisan Village," I saw alleys filled with natural indigo dyes and hand-painted fabrics. Each piece of fabric tells a story, waiting to be touched and explored.
🌴 A surprise around the corner in the red brick alley
I was immediately drawn to a handicraft shop on the corner. On one side were posters for cultural exhibitions, and on the other, children were excitedly running around. This isn't just about static exhibitions; it's about living, breathing culture.
