Hot Springs in Jiaoxi Township, Yilan County, Taiwan

Jiaoxi Hot Springs is located in Jiaoxi Township, Yilan County. Jiaoxi Hot Spring is a sodium bicarbonate spring containing sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium, carbonate ions and other ingredients. It is one of the rare flatland hot springs in Taiwan. There are nearly a hundred hot spring hotels gathered near Jiaoxi Railway Station. The hotel we stayed in this time has an outdoor public hot spring pool (swimming suit required) and the environment design is very good.

Jiaoxi Hot Spring Tangweigou Park has a public bathing pool where people can enjoy the hot springs for free.

When you go to Jiaoxi, in addition to soaking in the hot springs, you should also try the local snacks. Among them, Ke’s scallion pancake is a must-try. Even if you have to wait in line for almost half an hour to eat the pancakes that are fried to golden brown and have a fragrant onion aroma, it is worth it.

When you come to Jiaoxi, Yilan, you must try the famous jar chicken. The volcanic chicken from the volcano eruption chicken has crispy skin and tender meat, which is highly recommended.
