Remnants of the Yokohama Port Opening Era at Harbor View Park

A park on a hill overlooking Yokohama Port.

There are still traces of it being a foreign settlement during the Yokohama Port Opening Era, and in particular the remains of the former French consulate in the "France Mountain District". The windmill is said to be a remnant of its use in pumping well water.

You can also walk there from Yamashita Park and Chinatown. The slope from the Motomachi entrance is steep and a bit difficult to climb, but it's recommended to stop by after sightseeing in Yokohama 🌿
