Shizuoka & Yokohama, a perfect combination of nature and city travelogue

#July Travel Support Fund

This trip was a schedule where I could feel the nature of Shizuoka and the urban sensibility of Yokohama at the same time. The two cities gave off completely different vibes, but thanks to that, the trip was richer and more colorful.

First, I stopped by Miho-no-Matsubara in Shizuoka. The magnificent Mt. Fuji seen beyond the pine forest and the blue sea was truly impressive, and my heart felt refreshed as I walked along the beach and felt the sea breeze. Next, I went to Lake Motosu, and the view of Mt. Fuji reflected in the lake was truly impressive. It was even more special to see the scenery on the 1,000 yen bill in person.

I also visited the Shizuoka tea fields and enjoyed the endless green scenery, and we drank warm green tea right there, which had a deep aroma and taste, and it was definitely different from what I usually drink. Finally, I took a hot spring bath while looking at the sea at Atami Onsen on the Izu Peninsula, and all the fatigue from the trip was gone.

The next destination, Yokohama, showed a completely different charm. First, I felt the lively atmosphere while tasting dim sum and xiaolongbao in Yokohama Chinatown, and then I went to Minato Mirai 21 to enjoy the scenery of modern high-rise buildings and the ocean view. In the evening, I went up on the Ferris wheel at Yokohama Cosmo World and looked down at the city night view and the ocean at the same time. The romantic atmosphere was really great.

It was a trip where I could enjoy nature and healing in Shizuoka and the city and gourmet food in Yokohama. I was really satisfied because I could experience both charms in one trip.
