Looking for something to do on a rainy day, we saw the Hikawa Maru when looking out the Marine Tower and decided to have a look. I was surprised at how interesting the ship was to see. Originally an ocean liner from the 1930s, then a navy hospital ship in WWII, then back to a cargo-passenger ship, much of the interior and furniture is open for us to see, including the Wheelhouse and Engine rooms. I found the engine rooms fascinating as it gave me the opportunity to see the actual (albeit old) workings. The ship was special to see as we were boarding a modern cruise ship the next day. Very inexpensive admission - 300yen for adults, 200yen for seniors, 100 yen for students. Easily walkable from the Osanbashi Cruise Terminal so if you are looking for something to do while at port, this is a nice option. It's also across the road from the Marine Tower so you can do both.
