🌍
The pyramid complex is located on the Giza Plateau about 20 kilometers southwest of Cairo, the capital of Egypt. It is a symbol of ancient Egyptian civilization and the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing today.
The entire area includes:
• Great Pyramid of Khufu — the largest, oldest, and the only pyramid open for interior visits.
• Pyramid of Khafre — best-preserved exterior, with the original white limestone still remaining at the top.
• Pyramid of Menkaure — the smallest of the three, but surrounded by finely carved subsidiary pyramids.
• The Great Sphinx — the giant statue guarding the pyramids, with a lion’s body and a human face, symbolizing the pharaoh’s power and wisdom.

🚗 Transportation
• Most convenient from Cairo:
• 🚕 Taxi/Uber: One-way fare about 100–150 EGP (approximately 100–150 TWD), travel time 30–40 minutes.
• 🚇 Metro + Bus: Take the metro to "Giza" station, then transfer to a taxi to the pyramid area, about 20 minutes total.
• 🚙 Private car or day tour: Highly recommended, includes guide and entrance tickets, priced between 1,500–2,500 TWD.
💡 Recommended visiting time: Opens at 8:00 AM, last ticket sold at 4:00 PM.
In summer, it’s best to enter between 8–10 AM to avoid the intense sun and crowds.

📸 Best photo and viewing spots
1. Panorama Point
• Located on a small hill on the western side of the park, it offers the best angle to capture all three pyramids with the desert background.
2. Camel riding route
• You can ride a camel from Panorama Point all the way to the base of the pyramids, perfect for photography (remember to agree on the price first!).
3. Platform in front of the Great Sphinx
• Offers classic shots of people with the pyramids and the Sphinx in the background.

☀️ Travel tips
• 🕶 Sunscreen essentials: The sun is very strong, so bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
• 💧 Stay hydrated: Carry a bottle of water as drinks inside the park are relatively expensive.
• 🐪 Bargain for camel or horse carriage rides: Start by offering about one-third of the initial price (for example, if they say 300 EGP, start by saying 100).
• 📷 Camera vs. local photographers: Locals often offer to take photos inside the park, and while they take good shots, they expect a small tip. It’s best to clarify this beforehand.
• 💰 Guide recommendation: For first-time visitors, hiring a guide is highly recommended to explain the history of pyramid construction and religious symbolism, enriching your experience.
• 🚫 Drones prohibited: Drone use is banned throughout Egypt.
