The night view of Jieyang Ancient City during National Day is absolutely stunning; I took so many photos my phone memory is full, and 19 pictures aren't enough to capture it all. Apart from Zhongshan Road Arcade Street, there weren't many people elsewhere, making for a very smooth and enjoyable experience. Moreover, all attractions, except for the Confucian Temple, are open for free until late at night. This truly embodies the holiday spirit and the feeling of celebrating with the nation. There are puppet shows in front of the Martial Temple, Chaoshan storytelling at Jinxian Gate, performances in front of the Confucian Temple, and Yingge dance parades on the streets. Coupled with delicious food hidden deep in the alleys and the magnificent night views of ancient buildings, Jieyang is truly a severely underestimated treasure ancient city.
