Why is Yuanmou Earth Forest little known?
As a Yunnan native,
I visited many scenic spots in the province.
But I never thought of visiting this geological wonder until recently.
It is only a two-hour drive from Kunming.
But it has long been neglected.
Perhaps it is because of its low profile,
It retains its original appearance.
Silently watching for thousands of years,
Waiting for the right person to come and explore.

There are two earth forest scenic spots in Yuanmou - Wumao and Langbapu.
Most tourists go to Mumao.
But I prefer Langbapu.

Tips for playing:
1️⃣ It is recommended to enter the park before 9 am, and it is more recommended to stay in the scenic area, drive directly in after 3 pm, and go to the earth forest at 5 pm after checking in. The light is good and it is not as hot as at noon.
2️⃣ The scenic area is divided into 4 areas, among which Area 4 is the most photographed!
3️⃣ The scenic area is huge! It is recommended to arrange 3 to 4 hours to play slowly
4️⃣ Get ready: water, snacks, sunscreen (no shade + ultraviolet rays are very strong at noon)
5️⃣ Tips for photographing the starry sky: A tripod + wide-angle lens are essential. It is recommended to step on the plane during the day and go directly to the aircraft seat at night. The summer Milky Way is suitable for photography from May to September, avoiding the full moon period.

🌌Can take pictures of the starry sky! Yes, this primitive earth forest completely changes its appearance at night, as if walking into an alien planet. The earth forest under the starry sky is so shocking that I am at a loss for words.
☎️Accommodation can only be booked by phone: rooms in the new building are about 200 yuan/night (increased to 280 during holidays). The conditions are average, but it’s worth it for the starry sky!
🍱The scenic area restaurant has a set meal of 40 to 50 yuan per person, or you can bring your own simple meals and dry food

They say this is the Chinese version of Colorado.
