As a native of Yueyang, this is my first time to visit Sheng'an Temple. I was shocked by the Guanyin statue in the temple. The statue is covered with real gold. It is a great sight in the ancient city of Yueyang. Whether you are seeking marriage or praying for blessings, it is worth a visit.
Standing on Guishan Mountain, Sheng'an Temple is an ancient temple with a long history in Yueyang. It is magnificent with flying eaves and corners. Climbing to the top of the mountain, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of Nanhu Lake and the whole city.
Some notes and suggestions
1. Don't wear anything too revealing and don't make loud noises.
2 Photography is not allowed inside the temple, but it is allowed outdoors
3. It costs 10 yuan per person to go up to the pagoda on the top of the mountain
4. When you meet a master, you can greet him with "Amitabha"
5. There are prayer incense for sale at the door for about 10r a piece
If you go there at 6am, you can try the vegetarian meal at the temple for 10r/person
