This Christmas I went to Yufuin in Fukuoka. It was a rare sight to encounter snow. I could see a patch of snow on the top of the mountain at a glance.
I highly recommend the small shrine near the Golden Scale Lake - Tenzu Shrine, although it looks no other shrines as grand, but it feels very antique than people, walk a little outside the shrine, you see the torii in the center of the lake, and Japanese friends tell me that this shrine is for money luck.
