When you come to Kyushu's hot spring town #由布院, in addition to strolling and shopping around the popular attraction #金麟湖, there is a super eye-catching building that you must visit, that is the #由布院访问中心 located next to Yufuin Station.

Designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, this two-story wooden structure uses large glass panels to bring light into the room. Large Y-shaped three-dimensional wooden columns support the roof, just like the symmetrical pattern of a Gothic church. It is quite amazing!

The first floor is the tourist information counter. Going up the spiral staircase, the second floor is a rest area and a small library with a collection of 1,500 travel-related books. There is also an outdoor observation deck from which you can enjoy the scenery of Yufuin Station.

The entire visitor center has a large area of ​​translucent glass. Whether it is the sunlight shining in during the day or the bright lights at night, it has different charming styles. It is definitely the No. 1 free attraction in Yufuin!
