Fairy-like Kinrin Lake

#金麟湖 is a pond located next to Yufuin Onsen in Yufuin-cho, Yufu City, Oita Prefecture, Japan. It covers an area of 0.8 hectares and has a circumference of 400 meters. As morning mist often appears on the surface of the pond in the morning, it has become one of the representative landscapes of Yufuin Onsen.
Because it is located at the foot of Mount Yufu, it is also called "Yuexia Pond" and "Yuexia Pond". In 1884, Confucian scholar Mao Likong saw the setting sun reflecting golden light like fish scales here, so he named it "Kinlin Lake".
Hot spring water and groundwater gush out from the bottom of the pool and flow into the Oita River. The temperature of the incoming water is about 30 degrees Celsius, while the water temperature on the lake surface is between 17 and 23 degrees Celsius. Because of the higher water temperature, fog is more likely to form on the lake surface in the morning. The foggy lake surface has become a famous landscape of Jinlin Lake.
I didn’t take any photos of Kinrin Lake this time because there were too many tourists. However, the villa next to Kinrin Lake is really beautiful and comfortable, and you can take great photos in any corner. I highly recommend that when you visit Kinrin Lake, you should stop by the villa to walk around and take some photos. It is really comfortable and great for taking photos.
