Sweet curry and a cute Shiba café in Yufuin

The curry in Yufuin was absolutely delightful 🍛 (but I wouldn’t recommend the Yufuin cider... the carbonation is quite weak 🫧). And I’ll never forget the Shiba café 🐕✨.

The curry shop I visited in Yufuin was very convenient as you could place your order through a kiosk. When your food is ready, the staff calls out in Japanese, but don’t worry if you don’t understand—they’ll repeat your number in English so you can pick up your order without any issues 🙆♀️.

As for the Shiba café! Upon entering, the staff informs you about the personalities of the Shiba dogs (e.g., whether they’re shy or friendly), so you can feel at ease 🐶. Once you pay, you’re allowed a 30-minute stay, which includes a drink. Most of the Shibas are usually sleeping, so I highly recommend simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere ☕💤. They also sell adorable Shiba-themed souvenirs, perfect for taking home as a memento.
