When visiting Yufuin, you can't miss this iconic mountain 🏔️ that serves as the backdrop of the town. Yes, it's the same mountain, but if you take a slight detour from the usual path and head a bit outside the town, you'll discover the serene atmosphere of the local residential area.
Here, you'll find vast rice fields and charming homemade bread cafes along the way.
Afterwards, take a leisurely stroll back into the tourist area of the town, passing by local ryokans and tree-lined paths 🌲.
Yufuin offers more than just shops and cafes.
Spend about 40 minutes walking around, then stop by the famous clay pot roasted pork restaurant near the lake. Take some time to relax and snap a few photos in the area before heading back or even staying overnight if you wish.
