Completed in 2001, it was rebuilt on the ruins of Japanese bombing during the Anti-Japanese War, hence the name "Kangjian Road." Running north-south for approximately 500 meters, it stretches from the pedestrian bridge in the south to the edge of the central square in the north. Long a residential area, after the reform and opening-up policy, the old buildings were demolished and replaced with new ones. The area now boasts shopping malls and supermarkets such as Cathay Pacific, Xinjiang, Yongsheng, Zhengda, and Jiebai, along with livestock storage facilities at the People's Bank of China, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the Bank of China, the China Construction Bank, and the Agricultural Bank of China, as well as the Post Office, Telecommunications Bank, and the Postal Savings Bank, driving a boom in finance and commerce.
