🙏 Wat Phra That Si Khot Bong is located on the riverbank in Thakhek, Lao PDR. It is a temple without resident monks, similar to Wat Phra Kaew in Thailand. However, the Lao authorities have arranged for monks from various temples to take turns serving and welcoming devotees who come to pay their respects and seek blessings.
🙏 Main attractions in the temple:
- Entrance fee: 5,000 Kip per person (free for monks and novices)
- Inside the temple's ordination hall, Lao people continuously come to make merit.
- At the Phra That courtyard, you can offer flowers, incense, and candles, walk around the stupa, or meditate.
- However, it is advised not to visit in the afternoon as it gets very hot.
