Tiger Leaping Gorge (Shangri-La)

#TravelChina

Anyone visiting Lijiang, Yunnan Province, I highly recommend this place.
Tiger Leaping Gorge
is a world-renowned AAAA-rated tourist attraction in China and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

When we visited Tiger Leaping Gorge, there were about four tiger statues at various points, but the highlight, with the long queues for photos, was at the bottom.

The gorge is very deep. From the parking lot, you have to walk down wooden stairs.

There are two escalators. You have to buy a ticket for this section. There will be staff checking both the ascent and descent. For those who prefer to walk, there's a separate but steep walkway.

Once you reach the viewpoint, it's absolutely stunning. The river and the gorge are a natural wonder, truly worthy of its World Heritage status.

When we returned to the parking lot, there were very clean restrooms, a souvenir shop, and a restaurant.
