Maoniuping is the largest and highest of the three main viewing areas on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, offering a completely different perspective: a sweeping, frontal, and commanding view of the entire 13-peaked range. Unlike the intimate valley of Yunshanping or the glacial proximity of the main park, Maoniuping is about expansive, raw, untamed grandeur. It is a Tibetan-style landscape of open space, grazing yaks, and prayer flags snapping in the high-altitude wind.

Step onto the meadow and breathe the expanse:
🏔️ The Sovereign View: From this high, open vantage point, you are not looking up at the mountain; you are facing it as an equal across a vast grassy plain. The entire serrated crest is visible, laid out before you in its full, uninterrupted glory, from Shanzidou in the south to the northern peaks.
🌾 The Tibetan Expanse: The landscape feels more reminiscent of the Tibetan plateau than the forested valleys below. The wide-open grasslands, the herds of yaks, and the presence of a small Tibetan temple and prayer flag forests (Lungta) infuse the area with a profound spiritual and cultural atmosphere.
