Russia Trip: Walking The History of Zelenogradsk City Park!

#hellohalloween Planning a trip that took me from delicious eats in Yantai all the way to scenic strolls in Russia’s Zelenogradsky District? Here’s the low-down on my two favorite spots plus some walk-boosting tips for adventurers 🚶♂️🌍

Top Spots to Visit:
1. Zhongxindajiudianjiangnanshifuzizhucan (Yantai) — Tucked inside Central Hotel at 81 South Avenue, this spot serves up authentic Chinese dishes buffet-style. Arrive early for the freshest picks and be ready to load up your plate. Pro-tip: Try local seafood if available and ask the staff for regional specialties!
2. City Park Zelenogradsk (Russia) — Located at Ulitsa Volodarskogo, Zelenogradsk, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia, 238326, this park is open year-round (seriously: all day, every day!). It’s perfect for a chill Russia walking tour, with tree-lined paths and plenty of benches for people watching or a snack break.

Getting Around:
In Yantai, taxis are easy and affordable, but walking between downtown locations is totally doable. Over in Zelenogradsky District, focus on walking — public transit is sparse but the park and main streets are super accessible on foot. Walking here is legit the way to soak up Russia’s local vibe and architecture.

Food Recommendations:
In Yantai, Zhongxindajiudianjiangnanshifuzizhucan is a foodie win, but also check nearby street vendors for seasonal fruit. In Zelenogradsk, grab a pastry from local bakeries before heading into City Park for a mini picnic.

Quick Tips:
No visas needed between these stops if you’re already in-country, but always check current travel requirements. Weather in Zelenogradsky District can be unpredictable — pack a light jacket or umbrella just in case!
