♨️ A Soak in Aomori’s Local Hotspot – Gokurakuyu is Buzzing with Life!

We visited Gokurakuyu Aomori and were instantly struck by how packed and lively the place was—it’s easily one of the busiest onsens I’ve experienced in Japan. But once inside, it was clear why it’s so popular.

The entrance fee was very affordable, making it accessible for both locals and tourists. The onsen itself had a variety of baths, and one that caught our attention had red-colored water—it definitely added an interesting twist to the usual onsen experience!

What made Gokurakuyu stand out even more were the extras beyond the baths. There was a cozy restaurant inside, lots of vending machines, and even a manga reading corner for those wanting to chill after a soak. Kids weren’t left out either—there were a few games and entertainment areas to keep them occupied.

Despite the crowd, the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. It felt like a true local hangout spot, where everyone from families to solo bathers came to unwind.

If you’re in Aomori and want a budget-friendly and fun onsen experience with a little bit of everything, Gokurakuyu is absolutely worth checking out.
