Mother of all Nature -Avatar Mountains!

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is truly amazing! I bought a 4-Day ticket with entrance at the East gate (Wulingyuan) for ¥222 and I still didn’t visit all of the areas. When looking for a hotel, choose one that offers a park map otherwise you’ll have to buy one at the park entrance. I stayed at Manyuan Resort Hotel, decent enough re cleanliness but the breakfast was breakfasting! It was delicious and they provide fruits daily, even if you still have some left over from the day before. So back to the park, after you go through security you can board the bus which stops at different destinations hence the importance of the map to know exactly where to go. The only way to get to the top of the mountain after getting off the bus is either the Bailong Elevator for ¥65 one-way or the Tianzishan Cableway for ¥72 one-way; both are separate charges from the park ticket. OR… you can hike, two-way FREE! So pick your struggle wisely 😅 Luckily the in park transportation is free. Overall, worth the visit but be prepared for the heat if you go in the summer, it’s no joke 🥵🥵🥵
