Wat Sikha Samut, an abandoned temple with a church, a temple, and a pagoda on an island in the middle of the water, is located to the north of Wat Mahaeyong. It is assumed that this temple was built since the early Ayutthaya period, but there is no evidence of who built it.
From the name of the temple, it is assumed that it may have been built by Sikha. The word "Samut" comes from the word "Samut" which means water. However, another assumption is that it was built by a nobleman whose royal title appears in the chronicles as "Srikan Samut", which was distorted to "Sikha Samut".
