Anti-Japanese Mountain, formerly known as Ma'anshan, is located in Ganyu District, western Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, at the border between Jiangsu and Shandong provinces. Its main peak rises to 173 meters above sea level. Between 1941 and 1944, the Second Training Brigade of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, along with soldiers and civilians from the Binhai Military Region, undertook four projects to erect monuments and build towers in memory of the martyrs who perished there. This is how the name Anti-Japanese Mountain came to be.
It is the first and only mountain in my country named after the Anti-Japanese War and is known as "China's First Anti-Japanese Mountain". The Anti-Japanese Mountain Scenic Area, with its theme landscape, the Anti-Japanese Mountain Martyrs Cemetery, was built during the Anti-Japanese War.
It is now a "National Key Martyrs Memorial Building Protection Unit," a "National Youth Patriotism Education Base," a "National Red Tourism Key Scenic Spot," and is listed among the "30 National Red Tourism Premium Routes." In 2008, it was successfully established as a National 4A-level scenic spot.
The temperate monsoon climate has four distinct seasons. The Anti-Japanese Mountain Martyrs Cemetery is built on the mountain. It is magnificent and has beautiful scenery, making it suitable for travel in all seasons.
