Zhangjiajie Day 1 has been outstanding!

As an Indian, travelling within China has been insanely challenging. I have no access to WeChat Pay or AliPay, so I can’t even book a DiDi. But the people at Zhangjiajie, both downtown and Wulingyuan have been very helpful to me. My trip to Wulingyuan Hotel from Future Home Aesthetics Homestay was booked by a very nice man from the former.

Tianmen has been a long time bucket-list destination and I finally got done with it. I would suggest taking package A, finishing off the West Line quickly, and directly taking the Transmountain Escalator to Tianmen Cave instead of going on the East Line, atleast during summer. Nothing too beautiful, even at the Yu Hu Peak, to be honest. Lingquan temple was commercialised as well. The 999 Steps on the other hand is super fun as an activity amongst fit folks, else, just go ahead and take the escalator down for 32RMB pp. #tianmencave

In the evening, consider going to Tianmen Fox Fairy show and 72 Qilou, or do what I did and move to Wulingyuan. Amazing place, probably my favourite in China. Great food, great shops, incredibly aesthetic and the nicest people.

Shall keep everyone updated on Day 2, when I visit Zhangjiajie National Park.
