The Qixingyan Cliff Carvings, located in the Qixingyan Scenic Area in the north of Zhaoqing City, is one of the few large cliff carvings in China.
The seven stone mountains of Qixingyan have an area of less than 1.5 square kilometers in terms of cliff walls, but there are 523 stone inscriptions engraved on them, ranging from the Tang Dynasty to the modern times. They are densely distributed, well-preserved, complete in style, with various fonts, and both Chinese and foreign. They are not only exquisite stone carvings in my country, but also important physical materials for studying the economy and culture of various dynasties since the Tang Dynasty in my country.
The Qixingyan Cliff Carvings are mainly in Chinese, but there are also some Tibetan and Spanish. The Chinese characters include seal, official, regular, running and cursive scripts. The largest ones are as big as Wenyu and the smallest ones are half an inch. Many masterpieces of famous calligraphers are gathered together to form a unique treasure house of calligraphy art in the south.
Friends who like stone carvings and calligraphy works, remember to check in.
