Best Time to Travel

Ili experiences four distinct seasons, each with its unique charm. The best time to visit is from May to September. In May, visit Qiaxi and Kurdening to witness the first green shoots of the grasslands and the blooming wildflowers. June and July are ideal for exploring the lavender fields in Huocheng and the picturesque Nalati and Kalajun grasslands. From July to August, head to Zhaosu to admire the canola flower fields and experience a scenic drive along the Yizhao Highway.
