A hidden gem! Not for the faint-hearted!

Here's a thrilling hidden gem in the mountains of Beibei District, Chongqing. It's like the underground palace in "The Lost Tomb." If you're not brave enough, don't come. This is a game for the brave!

This guide is very detailed, so save it for your trip.

It takes about 1.5 hours to get from the city to the scenic area. The whole trip, including abseiling, via ferrata, and taking photos, takes about 3–4 hours.

Via ferrata difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In terms of cost, a small group tour is the most cost-effective, about CNY 588 per person, including abseiling, via ferrata, rock climbing, and round-trip transportation from the city to the scenic area.

The cave is 15–20°C all year round, so remember to bring a thin coat. It's a bit cold in the depths of the cave.

Let's talk about taking photos first. The group fee includes abseiling photos and posing in the cave. Remember to open your hands when abseiling. It looks great in photos.

Here are three tips for taking photos:
1. Cool adventure style: Men wear leather jackets and cargo pants, and women wear short leather jackets and skinny jeans. It's a perfect match for the environment.
2. Sporty style: Sisters with good figures can wear tight yoga clothes. Showing some skin is more eye-catching.
3. Bring a martial arts-style national costume. It will come in handy for posing.

Don't wear skirts. They're inconvenient. Cute and fresh styles don't match the mysterious and solemn atmosphere. High heels are out of the question. Sneakers are the best choice, followed by Martin boots.

Now let's talk about abseiling. You tie a rope from the open cave top and descend 60 meters to the cave bottom. It looks scary, but the descent is slow. You can grab the rope to control the speed and stop. The whole process takes about 2 minutes.

Finally, there's the via ferrata, an outdoor rock climbing sport from Europe. There are safety cables, foot pedals, and handrails on the rock wall, so even beginners can experience the thrill of freehand climbing.

The via ferrata in Tianyan Cave is more than 200 meters long and more than 20 meters high. It's beginner-friendly, but not easy.

The whole process takes 20–30 minutes. Beginners may get tired, but it's definitely cool to finish.

There's also a section of the cave in Tianyan Cave. It's quite beautiful. It's cold inside, so bring an extra coat to keep warm.
