Around Huangguoshu
✅Visual feast — Night tour of Huangguoshu

Around Fanjing Mountain
✅Natural oxygen bar — Yamu Valley
Yamu Valley is 8 to 9 kilometers from Fanjing Mountain, with a forest coverage rate of over 97% and an average annual temperature of about 17°C. Walking along the plank road, with babbling streams and waterfalls, it feels like entering the Land of Oz. If you can’t spend much time in the Fanjing Mountain scenic area, you can easily spend half a day here.
✅Natural air conditioning — Jiulong Cave
When the average temperature in Tongren exceeds 30°C, the temperature inside Jiulong Cave is about 18°C, very cool during the dog days of summer. The cave has waterfalls, underground rivers, and various shaped stalactites. If you don’t have time to visit Zhijin Cave, you can come here to experience authentic Guizhou karst beauty.

✅Time under the stilted buildings — Yaoshan Ancient Village
Yaoshan Ancient Village is about 5 km from Xiaoqikong and is the main settlement of the Baiku Yao people. In the ancient village, the granary is particularly prominent and is a landmark historic building of Yaoshan Ancient Village. The ancient charm, with streams and old houses complementing each other, forms a beautiful picture.
✅Great self-driving spot — Jiacha Scenic Area
If you want to choose a lesser-known Guizhou spot for camping and playing in the water, Pingtang Jiacha Scenic Area will definitely meet your needs. Jiacha Waterfall, Zhuxi, Swallow Cave, and the winding Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns let you experience the friendliness and tranquility of Guizhou’s mountains and waters up close.

Around Xijiang
✅Escape time — Langde Miao Village
If you like quieter, more original villages with fewer people, Langde Miao Village near Kaili City is perfect. The village is nestled by the mountains and water, surrounded by mountains on all sides. During festivals, there are warm welcoming ceremonies — twelve rounds of road-blocking wine and grand Miao song and dance performances, full of ethnic charm.
✅Famous dog hometown — Xiashi Ancient Town
Xiashi Ancient Town is known as "Little Shanghai" and also called the "Pearl on the Qingshui River." Here, natural landscapes, history, culture, and ethnic customs blend together. The environment is quiet and the ancient style remains. Walking in the ancient town, even time seems to slow down.
