A Unique Hakka Cultural Journey: Wuguishan Hakka Village Tulou丨Check Out Hakka Cuisine

In Wuguishan, Zhongshan, there is a circular Hakka tulou surrounded by mountains—Huaxing Building!
This architectural gem perfectly showcases the traditional style of Hakka walled houses.
The building is three stories high, with the first floor serving as a dining area, the second floor featuring a few private dining rooms, and the layout forming a circular "fortress" with a spacious courtyard hidden inside.
Stepping inside feels like entering the Hakka walled house scenes from the animated film "Big Fish & Begonia"!
Every snapshot here is Instagram-worthy.

The restaurant inside the tulou mainly serves Hakka cuisine. To be honest, the taste is just average. We tried the signature tea-infused duck, which was tender but lacked the rich flavor we had anticipated. The shrimp cakes were decent but a bit greasy. The Luohan vegetarian dish, a mix of various vegetables, was also quite ordinary in taste.

If visiting during holidays, it's recommended to arrive early to avoid long waits for a table.
Highly recommend staying until evening when the lights are turned on—it’s absolutely stunning and far better than during the day.
This decades-old establishment offers affordable dishes, so no need to worry about the prices.
