The typhoon is coming, and all sailings will be suspended for 5 days. It's time to say goodbye to Dongfushan Island

You have to visit Dongji Island this summer! This hidden sea paradise at the easternmost end of the Zhoushan Archipelago is perfect for zoning out, daydreaming, and watching the sea 🌊. Pet-friendly, and the only transportation for travelers is walking. No special skills needed to visit this island; it’s not very big, just walk around the island to check in. 4-5 hours of walking.

🏝️ Dongji Island Travel Guide:
📍 Dongfushan Island
The most pristine natural scenery on the island is here. A 4-hour hike around the island will get you to the same deserted village featured in "The Continent". Be sure to watch the sunset at the stone house cluster in the evening; the red houses against the blue sea are stunning!

📍 Miaozihu Island
The main island is relatively commercialized but more convenient. The popular lighthouse is about 500 meters from the pier. Recommended to take the 88 RMB per person island sightseeing bus, which stops at 8 best photo spots.

📍 Qingbang Island
Known as the "Potala Palace on the Sea," the clusters of stone houses are especially spectacular. It’s recommended to stay at a guesthouse on the island; open the window to an unbeatable sea view, and at night you can see the super dreamy blue tears.

🌅 Best Moments:
At 5 AM, go to Dongfushan’s first dawn observation point to watch the sunrise
From 4 to 6 PM, watch the sunset over the Orange Sea from the back mountain of Miaozihu
After 9 PM, lie on the guesthouse rooftop to watch the starry sky

🛥️ Transportation Tips:
Take a 2-hour boat from Shenzhajimen Banshengdong Pier to Miaozihu
Ticket prices: lower deck 100 RMB / middle deck 130 RMB / upper deck 150 RMB (book tickets 3 days in advance)
There are daily inter-island boats, 20-30 RMB per trip
Be sure to check sailing times.

🍤 Must-Try Foods:
Seafood fried rice noodles, tigerhead fish tofu soup, oyster omelet
Recommended: "Polar Noodle House" on Miaozihu Island, the owner is super friendly

💡 Tips:
1. Bring enough cash! ATMs on the island often run out of money
2. Sunscreen + sun-protective clothing + hat are a must
3. Wear comfortable shoes; the island trail is all stone paths
4. Book guesthouses 1 month in advance during peak season
