Guilin Scenery: Exploring China's Most Beautiful Landscape Painting

"An severely underrated 5A tourist spot"||It's a pity that Guilin doesn't promote this place, such spectacular scenery is worth the trip no matter how far!

📍Location: Bajiaozhai Scenic Area, Ziyuan County, Guilin.

🏞️Attraction: This is a scenic spot that spans two provinces, known as Bajiaozhai Scenic Area in Guangxi and Langshan Scenic Area (including Bajiaozhai, Tianyi Lane, Zixia Dong, and Lajiaofeng) in Hunan.

🕒Opening hours: 07:30-17:30.

🎫Ticket: The ticketing situation is a bit complicated, Guilin side has only one attraction for 100, while Hunan side has a combo ticket for several attractions costing 136, and they are not interchangeable.

🚗Transport: For self-driving, directly navigate to "Bajiaozhai Scenic Area".
For high-speed rail, from Guangxi direction, get off at Guilin North Station, and there is a bus directly to the scenic area around 9:00 AM from Guilin North Bus Station, returning around 4:30 PM.
From Hunan direction, take the high-speed rail to Dongkou Station, and then take a taxi.

🏠Accommodation: There are fewer homestays at the foot of the mountain in the Guangxi direction, scattered and generally average due to its remoteness, but the advantage is that it's close to the mountain entrance. In the Hunan direction, the scenic area is larger, so there are relatively more options, with many available from a few kilometers outside the scenic area all the way to the town.

✅Sightseeing:
1️⃣If you plan to return the same day, it is strongly recommended to climb the mountain from the Guilin side, as the main scenery is concentrated here, and the whole climbing process takes about 4 hours. Climbing from the Hunan side doesn't offer much scenery, but the advantage is that there are more shady forests.
2️⃣If you plan to play for two days, it is suggested to climb from the Hunan side, and after enjoying the view on the mountain top, if you have the energy, you can go down a distance in the Guangxi direction, and then return the same way to the Hunan side.

✅Photo spots: Group Snails Watching the Sky, Group Whales Frolicking in the Sea, Dragon Head Fragrance.

✅TIPS:
1️⃣Climbing from the Guangxi side and descending from the Hunan side does not require an additional ticket, unless you want to visit other attractions in Langshan, in which case you need to buy a new combo ticket. Climbing from the Hunan side and descending from the Guangxi side requires an additional ticket.
2️⃣If you are driving, you cannot climb up one side and descend the other; you must return the same way, otherwise, after descending, you would need to detour more than 20 kilometers of mountain roads to get back to the original place, and the key issue is that there are no buses back, while your car is still parked on the other side waiting for you.
3️⃣If you are returning the same day, just visit Bajiaozhai and climb up and down from the Guangxi side.
If you have two days, climb from the Hunan side, go down a distance in the Guangxi direction after reaching the mountain top to closely view Group Snails Watching the Sky, and then return the same way, which is quite tiring.

✅Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Transportation is not very convenient, the scenery is good, the location is a bit remote, perhaps because it's so remote, not many people come, and less than ten people were encountered in the entire scenic area, but it's worth promoting vigorously.
