
Yahekou Reservoir is located in the upper reaches of the Baihe River, a tributary of the Han River in the Yangtze River Basin , 40 kilometers north of Nanyang City . The dam site is located at the confluence of the Yahe River and the Baihe River in Huangludian Town, Nanzhao County, hence the name Yahekou Reservoir.
The Yahekou Reservoir Dam, the core of the scenic area, features a unique design in China, with interlocking blocks paving its waterside slopes and block stone paving its backside slopes. The entire dam resembles a majestic azure dragon soaring into the sky. A pavilion and corridor adorn the dam's crest, offering a breathtaking view of the vast expanse of water, the inky mountains beyond, a solitary sail, and the shroud of smoke, creating a truly captivating and captivating experience.
Amidst the verdant landscape, the flood control radio station, reservoir power station, flood discharge gate, and memorial pavilion, each with its own unique architectural style, is a sight to behold.
