🚗 Here comes the self-driving travelogue of August 23rd~
After having lunch in Jiuzhi🥢, we headed west to start our exploration of the Tibetan region's hidden wonders!
🌟 First stop: Niangma Temple Prayer Wheel
📍 Address: Awancang Town, Maqu County, Gannan Prefecture, Gansu Province
🕒 Visiting time: about 30 minutes
Shock factor: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the world's largest prayer wheel! A must-visit!
🔹 35.8 meters tall! Weighs 320 tons! Covered with 60kg of gold
🔹 Houses 110,000 precious scriptures📚
🔹 Completed and consecrated in 2018, dazzlingly magnificent
Like a sacred golden pagoda, shining brilliantly under the plateau sun✨
🚘 Keep moving!
Following National Highway 345, after 2 hours~
🌄 Arrived at Langmu Temple Town at 5:45pm
📌 About Langmu Temple:
🔹 Location: A town spanning three provinces! The junction of Gansu, Qinghai, and Sichuan
🔹 Altitude: 3,480 meters (watch out for altitude sickness)
🔹 Features: Known as the "Little Switzerland of the East" and a "Miniature Shangri-La"
✨ Here you can see:
▫️ Vast grassland pastures 🌿
▫️ Deep and mysterious canyons
▫️ Enigmatic primeval forests
🏯 The most amazing thing is:
The town has Tibetan Buddhist temples (Saichi Temple & Gerdie Temple)
And also a mosque🕌
Tibetan, Hui, and Han ethnic groups live harmoniously~
This multicultural atmosphere is truly special!🤩
ps. The scenery along the way is absolutely stunning!! This is exactly how I imagine Gannan should be!!😍
📌 Practical tips:
1️⃣ Big temperature difference between morning and night, remember to bring warm clothes
2️⃣ Be aware of altitude sickness, prepare oxygen in advance
3️⃣ Respect local religious customs (prayer wheels must be turned clockwise)
