This is the first time I have crossed no man's land, it was more than a year ago, but now I always remember the feeling of being alone in another world, so beautiful, so primitive, so peaceful.

Digging Hei Luohuo, from the Yi language, to the effect of "highest place": more than 4,000 meters above sea level, located at the junction of Lewu Township and Wanping Township in Ebian Yi Autonomous County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, part of Heizhugou. The top of the mountain is a spectacular 10,000 acres of lawn, surrounded by vast forests and seas. The sea of clouds is very beautiful, and when the weather is clear, you can overlook the Gongga Snow Mountain. It is currently undeveloped. Digging Heiluo is 291 kilometers away from Chengdu. The specific route is Chengdu - Emei Mountain - Ebian - Heizhugou Town - Lewu Township - Ganzikou Village. Highways plus provincial highways, cars can go.

Because I was working in Ebian County at that time (Ebian was also my mother's hometown), I directly found a local cattle herding guide to take me up for 3 days.

Day 1: Ebian County - Lewu Township

road from Ebian to Lewu Township is very easy to walk, about 2 hours, after arriving in Lewu, there is accommodation in the local area, you can stay for one night first, and go the next morning.

Day 2: Lewu Township - Digging Hei Luo Huo

We set off at 7 a.m. the next morning, and the guide was a Yi man in his 70s, named Jikebuha, and his body was quite strong. There are 3 roads to dig Heiluohuo, the first is from the 4th group of Lewu Village, the second is from Ganzikou Village, and the third is from the rhododendron pond in Haqu Township, we chose the first one, about 5 hours to walk, and you can live in the simple houses of the locals or bring your own tent after going up. Find a local guide for about 200 yuan a day.

Day 3: Digging Heiluohuo-Lewu Township-Ebian County

The

descent time is about 4 hours, and the locals say that the fastest is an hour. But I recommend slowing down a bit, my knee hurt for almost two months after going down the mountain at this speed.

However, this primitive and wild place, even many locals in Ebian do not know, the road is difficult to walk, in addition to the locals, many of them are outdoor explorers, so those who want to go should be prepared to go again.
