Day 1: Chongqing - Chengdu Emei Mountain - Leidongping

At half past seven in the morning of July 12, I braved the rain and set off for my destination with my luggage. The children were more excited to take the high-speed rail for the first time with their children. The first time I took the high-speed rail, I couldn't find it in the southeast, south, and northwest, so I arrived at the station early, for fear of missing the departure time. When entering the station at the ticket checkout (when entering the station with the ticket, you need to take the manual channel with your children), get on the bullet train, and your heart is at ease at this time. After more than 3 hours of driving, we finally arrived at Emei Mountain Station. (When booking tickets, it is Emei Mountain Station, don't mistake it for Emei Station)

There is a bus directly to Leidongping halfway up Mount Emei Mountain in the Emeishan high-speed rail station. What we plan to do is to play at the foot of Mount Emei first, and then take a car up the mountain. Traveling with the elderly and children, it was already past 12 o'clock at the Emei Mountain high-speed rail station, and when lunch time arrived, I went out of the station directly to find food. Not far from the high-speed rail station, there is a food street, coordinated with the location of Mount Emei University. A few minutes out of the high-speed rail station, there is a bus stop. There happened to be bus No. 12 out of the station, so I got on the bus and sat down at the road bridge station, and found a highly-rated local restaurant, which tasted really good. After lunch, take bus No. 5 to Baoguo Temple and Fuhu Temple (sit to the end of Fuhu Temple and walk out of it), I originally wanted to go to the museum to see it, but it was temporarily closed. Then return to the Baoguo Temple Passenger Transport Center, take a car to Leidongping, if you want to see the sunrise, it is good to live here, and those who have money can of course choose to stay on the Golden Peak in the afternoon, so that the sunrise and sunset are watched. With the elderly and children, I still recommend living in Leidongping, after all, the altitude of Jinding is still 3,000, and the altitude of Leidongping is 2,700, so you can adapt halfway up the mountain. The journey from Baoguo Temple Passenger Transport Center to Leidongping is about 2 hours. When you arrive at Leidongping, you have to get off the bus and change your short sleeves to long sleeves, and the sun under the mountain will turn into fog here. The accommodation is booked in advance, put down your luggage, and start shopping around with an umbrella (it is not raining, the fog is too big, and the fog will wet your clothes). Dinner is solved in the hotel where you stay, the price is relatively expensive and not delicious, there are a few restaurants that can also be eaten on a certain APP, the price is relatively moderate, the specific portion and taste are unknown.

Day 2: Leidongping - Golden Peak - Leidongping - Leshan

I got up at 4:30 in the morning, cleaned up and started walking to the ropeway to the golden dome, I took a 9-year-old child, stopped and walked, it took about 30 minutes to walk from Leidongping Station to the reception hall, and there were already many people queuing up. The ropeway carriage is relatively large, it can accommodate 100 people at a time, and it only takes 5 minutes, which is still relatively fast. Although the sun is out, it is still cold in the morning, so you can add a thin down jacket with short sleeves. I didn't bring thick clothes, and there were also rented clothes in Leidongping.

After watching the sunrise and the sea of clouds, I ate a bucket of instant noodles on the golden peak, the price was 10 yuan, which was acceptable. It was only 7 o'clock, and I was planning to take the ropeway back to Leidongping, but seeing that it was still early, I walked down the mountain and breathed a little more fresh air by the way. It takes 2 hours to go down the mountain from Jinding to Leidongping. On the way down the mountain, I saw many people climbing the golden top of the mountain, and I admired them a little. If you have bad knees, it is recommended that you take the ropeway down the mountain, it is too laborious for your knees to go down.

After 9 o'clock in Leidongping, take a bus down the mountain and take it directly to the Emei Mountain high-speed rail station, which takes almost 2 hours. I was very anxious to arrive at the station, so I immediately bought a train ticket for Mount Emei at 12:29 - Leshan at 11:51, and saved lunch for going to Leshan to eat food. Take a taxi from Leshan high-speed rail station to the hotel, put your luggage away, and go to the surrounding area to eat delicious food. From Mount Emei to Leshan, the temperature difference is so big, the sun is good, after lunch, I don't want to go shopping, I go straight back to the hotel to take a nap. The hotel I stayed in, the service was good, the breakfast was relatively rich, and I could see the Dadu River and the Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area while sitting in the room.

At 4 o'clock in the afternoon, take a taxi to the Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area. Taxis cannot go directly to the visitor center, the drop-off location is about 1500 meters to the scenic visitor center, a walk of 10 minutes, or you can choose to take the sightseeing bus of the scenic spot for 20 yuan/person. I walked in with my children, and there were dense trees on both sides of the road, which had a good shade effect and were cool to walk. At 4:30, officially entered the scenic spot, went straight to the Leshan Giant Buddha, the sun at this time is still hot, there are very few tourists, no need to queue, choose to take the plank road to see the Giant Buddha, from the starting point to the foot of the Giant Buddha and then return to the starting point, it only took about 1 hour to walk to see the Giant Buddha, and it took about 1 hour to walk around the scenic spot and go straight back to the hotel.

Day 3: Leshan - Ocean Park - Chongqing

After breakfast at the hotel, take your luggage and depart for Ocean Park Station. The bullet train goes to Chengdu South, and then transfers to Metro Line 18 to Ocean Park, the subway will arrive in 10 minutes, and the park gate will be at the entrance of the park in a few minutes out of the station. There are free luggage storage places outside and inside the park ticket gates, which is very user-friendly.

After watching the performance at half past four, I started to set off home, and I could take the bullet train back to Chongqing in Chengdu South in time, which was more convenient. I don't know how long Ocean Park will play, I didn't book tickets in advance and check, and when I realized that the bullet train to Chengdu South would come in time after 6 o'clock, I couldn't buy tickets on the APP.
