We stayed at Sophie Jinyuan Hotel Chengdu for the 1st, 3rd and 4th nights, China-TravelNote gave a family room, and the second night stayed at the Hampton by Hilton in Emei Mountain, which was two rooms, so we determined the type of family room in advance according to the child's preferences, and proposed that Emei Mountain needed two adjacent rooms (due to the room type upgrade to make up the difference of 100 yuan), which also made good arrangements for the follow-up. Therefore, if a family is traveling with multiple people, it is still necessary to schedule specific rooms in advance.
DAY1 (Jinan to Chengdu)
We plan to take China Eastern Airlines flight MU6085 (departing at 19:00 and landing at 22:50) to Chengdu on April 28, but due to too many queues during the festival and airport flow restrictions, our flight was delayed to 21 o'clock in the evening, and it would be close to 12 o'clock in the morning when we arrived at the airport, and there was still more than an hour's drive to the hotel. China-TravelNote's service staff contacted me by phone, informing me that there were other flights that could be changed on the same day, and that they could coordinate a full refund of the scheduled ticket. Considering that I would have to rush to Leshan early tomorrow morning, I decisively chose to refund my ticket and immediately booked Shandong Airlines flight SC8725 departing at 15:50. The flight arrived at Tianfu Airport at 18:40, and there was some congestion on the road to the city in time for the rain, and it was close to 21 o'clock when we arrived at the hotel. If you take the original flight, it will take about 2 a.m. to feel the hotel, and the fatigue of the boat and car will definitely affect the experience the next day. Therefore, although the price difference of 2,300 yuan was made, it was worth it to make the journey more leisurely.
On the plane, Shandong Airlines' service is still very thoughtful, although there is no meal, but it still provides free fast food and drinks, both children eat all the food, the daughter is not enough, just eat half of the mother's portion. After the plane landed, we got in touch with the driver in time, but we didn't expect that Tianfu Airport was too big, and it was nearly two kilometers from getting off the plane to getting on the bus.
After nearly seven hours of tossing and turning, we finally arrived at the Jinyuan Hotel, where the hotel staff received us very warmly until they sent us to the elevator, a hospitality that has never been seen anywhere else. The front desk staff also asked me to add the hotel's WeChat and tell me to tell you at any time. In the next few days, I could receive greetings from the front desk lady of Jinyuan from time to time, which was very heartwarming.
Jinyuan Hotel is an old five-star hotel, we chose its main family room, the room is very large, but due to the long operation of the hotel, the facilities are slightly outdated, but the warm attitude and thoughtful arrangement of the hotel's service staff are enough to deserve the five-star standard. At this time, it was more than 9 o'clock in the evening, I was a little hungry, my wife ordered takeout for the child, I went out alone with an umbrella, just opposite the commercial street near Wenshu Monastery, bought two crunchy beef patties and two court pastries to take back to taste. The beef patty is indeed crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, rattling and delicious, but the palace pastry is not very special. But on the day I left Chengdu, I found out that this pastry was an Internet celebrity shop, and there were at least 100 people queuing up outside, which made me feel very relieved.
DAY2 (Leshan Buddha)
Just woke up at seven o'clock the next morning, only to see his son shouting to go to the bathroom to vomit, and his wife said that Xiaoyi had an uncomfortable stomach yesterday and was uncomfortable all night. I hurriedly checked the navigation, there were already some traffic jams, at this time I was most worried that my son couldn't hold on, but thinking that the driver had arrived downstairs, especially a children's song from the child's childhood, had already planted seeds in the child's heart, I quickly comforted my son, and cheered him up, encouraging him to persevere, and my wife also gave my son stomach medicine. But as soon as the son got in the car, he immediately became refreshed as if he were a different person, and perhaps for the child, a good vision is the best medicine to heal the pain. My son has been afraid of taking cars since he was a child, often motion sickness and vomiting, rarely able to sit for more than an hour in a row, coupled with traffic jams, from the hotel to Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area for a total of nearly 3 hours, what I didn't expect was that my son persevered all the way, so I had to admire the strong little guy in front of me.
At 10:50, we arrived at the Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area, at this time the parking space was full, and the road directly to the scenic spot was also restricted, we stopped the car under the guidance of the scenic spot staff, and then walked to the Leshan Giant Buddha boat boarding. The Leshan Giant Buddha is located on the side of Lingyun Temple on the east bank of the South Min River in Leshan City, Sichuan Province, at the confluence of the Dadu River, the Qingyi River and the Min River. The Big Buddha is a seated statue of Maitreya Buddha, 71 meters high, and is the largest cliff carving statue in China.There are two ways to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, one is to walk up the mountain and take the "Nine Bends Plank Road" to see the Buddha up close, but it is difficult to see the whole picture of the Buddha because "only because you are in this mountain"; We chose the second way to travel by boat. After queuing for about half an hour, we finally arrived at the pier, but unexpectedly we were blocked, and we were one short of being able to get on a boat. And unexpectedly, the next boat is the best and latest cruise ship in the scenic spot, and because we were the first to get on the boat, we chose the position closest to the side of the ship on the second floor and sat down, and the front of the ship was vast. Therefore, when you go out, you must be calm and have Buddha in your heart, as long as you have a good mood, the scenery will be good all the way.
The cruise ship slowly moves forward on the river, and the west bank is an endless red mountain greenery, the mountains are not high, but there is a fairy spirit, especially when the big Buddha comes into view, it is like the top of the western sky, the land of bliss, magnificent and majestic. From a distance, the Jiuqu plank road was crowded with people, crowded one after another, and the crowd could only move cautiously, but the mood of the tourists was not swayed by the crowd at all, shouting and waving to the tourists on the boat, a harmonious and joyful scene.

The cruise took about 40 minutes, and when we went ashore, we wanted to go to the city to eat the local specialty beef, but unfortunately the road to the city was too blocked, so we drove directly to Mount Emei. The journey from Leshan to Mount Emei is only half an hour, and Sichuan's tourism resources are not so rich in the country, and the two World Heritage Sites are only a few miles apart. I was going to eat the cocked beef of a local restaurant called Koufu Old Store, but after stopping the car, I didn't look at the sign and went directly to the crowd, and when I sat down and finished ordering the meal, I saw that the old shop was across the road, and I was really ashamed. The boss enthusiastically stepped forward to explain the unique way of eating beef, and we will also be wrong, just eat and sit down in this store, but everything is the best arrangement, and then check this old store called "Yunxiangyuan Beef" on the Internet, which is a must-eat classic when you come to Mount Emei. In particular, the tender beef is stirred in the soup pot a few times, and the melt-in-your-mouth texture is endlessly memorable, and it is also in response to the boss's sentence "Eating my family's beef will make you unforgettable for a lifetime".
According to the established itinerary, we should take a sightseeing bus to Wannian Temple in the middle of Emei in the afternoon, but considering our son's health, we still decided to go to the hotel to settle down first, Find a nearby place and turn around.
The Hampton Hotel is a new store by Hilton that has just opened, the floors are relatively low, but the environment is very quiet, we stayed in two double bed rooms next to each other on the first floor, and the hot spring pool in the hotel is on the way to the room at the front desk. To relieve our physical and mental fatigue, we took a short break in our room and then went to the hot springs. There are three hot spring pools in the hotel, namely 37°C, 38°C, 40°C, 40° is slightly hotter, children are still more suitable for 37, 8° temperature, more than half an hour of hot bath washes away the fatigue, but people are lazy to move around. It wasn't until half past six in the evening that we decided to move and staggered out.
If there is time, the Baoguo Temple at the foot of the mountain is still worth visiting, and at this time the Baoguo Temple has been completed, and it is time for the meal, so our destination is the scenic road where the food street next to the visitor center is located. After walking nearly 2 kilometers, we finally sat down under the greeting of a proprietress lady, this is a six-star restaurant, the fish recommended by the boss is very expensive (88 a catty), but the taste is not bad, although there are many thorns but the meat is tender, in short, the cost performance of the restaurant near the scenic spot is still unsatisfactory.
When I returned to the hotel in the evening, my son's stomach began to feel uncomfortable again, and by half past 11 p.m., I had fallen asleep and received a call from my wife next door saying that my son was in severe pain and asked to go to the hospital. I immediately put on my clothes and prepared to take my son to the hospital, because it was too late and did not trouble the driver's brother, I took a taxi to Emei People's Hospital, but the pediatrics department of the hospital was in another place, and I took a taxi to the pediatric hospital. Fortunately, the doctor said that the child may have eaten a bad stomach, and the son knew that there was nothing serious, so he was relieved, and it was 1 o'clock in the morning when he came back, and after taking the medicine according to the doctor's instructions, he comforted the child to sleep.
DAY3 Emei Climbing to the top
of Emei Mountain is the second destination of this trip, and it is also the attraction that I am most looking forward to this trip, I have heard that Mount Emei is one of the four famous mountains of Buddhism, is the dojo of Puxian Bodhisattva, the incense is flourishing, endless, and I heard that the statues of the four directions of Puxian located on the golden peak of Emei are tall and majestic, golden light, coupled with the legends of Jin Yong's Emei School Guo Xiang, Zhou Zhiruo and others, the mystery of Mount Emei makes me infinitely fascinated.
Although we have gone through the toss in the middle of the night, we still get up on time at 6:30, and the breakfast at the Hampton Hotel is much better than Jinyuan, but my son still runs to the toilet several times to vomit and can't eat anything during breakfast. I had a simple meal and took my son to the front desk to check out, just in time for the lottery on the day, the child was very excited, turned the lucky wheel, it was a lucky prize. The lobby manager saw that the child was uncomfortable, so he gave it again, and this time he won a panda doll with a second prize, and his son was very excited and forgot the pain. We left the hotel at 7:40 and arrived at the visitor center at 8:00, but fortunately, we didn't have to queue and got on the sightseeing bus to the mountain. There were traffic jams and bumps along the way, but fortunately, the son still persevered smoothly, and the vehicle traveled through the clouds and fog for nearly two hours before reaching Leidongping, climbing from more than 400 meters to 2,500 meters, and the temperature also plummeted from 20 degrees to less than 10 degrees. When we first got off the bus, the clouds were misty and the cold wind was biting, so we went to the roadside store to buy three windbreakers (130/piece), of course, there are also rental clothes nearby, about 50 yuan/piece, but it will affect the effect of taking pictures. Therefore, if you go up the mountain in spring and autumn, thick clothes are still essential.
After getting off the bus, you can walk for half an hour to reach the Leidongping Ropeway, there are two ropeways, one is circulating, the other is round-trip, the circular type is closer to the drop-off point, but there are also more people going up, a total of 31 cable cars, each limited to six people. We came to the ropeway boarding area, there was already a long queue outside, and the line was not particularly long, and then we followed, but the line section was large (about 7 or 8 people in a row), and the further we went forward, the narrower the line, so the speed of progress was very slow. How did we know that after half an hour, we came to a sign that said "It takes about 90 minutes to get on the bus here", and we suddenly felt collapsed, but it took an hour and a half to hike up the mountain, and there was already a little altitude sickness above 2,500 meters above sea level. After waiting for about an hour, I finally got on the cable car. As soon as he sat down, he was pushed out by a huge gear, like soaring up, and at this time the sky suddenly cleared, probably because he had risen to the clouds. The wife has a fear of heights and does not dare to open her eyes, and the two children are so excited that they can't close their mouths, one overlooking the white clouds below the mountain, the other looking at the scenery on the top of the mountain, so uncomfortable. In five minutes of driving, climb more than 500 meters and get off at the top of the mountain.
The golden peak of Mount Emei in March in Yangchun had just snowed the day before, wrapped in silver, a little more solemn and beautiful, looking up, a wisp of golden light pierced into the eyes, That is the four-sided statue of the universal sage, and the white snow reflects the sun and a little red, which makes people feel refreshed and refreshed.Ten minutes on foot, we arrived at the Golden Peak Scenic Area of Mount Emei, the four directions of the golden dome are shining with golden light, everyone admires them, and we are also catching up with the few sunny days of the year on the top of the mountain, and we feel that the Buddha's light is shining and golden!
Under the guidance of the tour guide, we burned incense and worshipped in front of the Puxian Statue, the Daxiong Treasure Hall and the Guanyin Hall respectively, and lit two candles before each worship, and then used the candles to ignite three pillars of incense. Although I do not believe in Buddhism, I am still impressed by the boiling incense and pious etiquette, and pray for the safety of my relatives and the prosperity of my family and country. And just as we were about to climb to the top after worshiping, the entire golden dome was once again shrouded in clouds and mist, and the cliffs were full of thick fog everywhere, and the scenery below the mountain was hidden in the clouds.
